Indiana Conservation Officer Corporal Erick Bolt is investigating the death of an apparent fisherman found floating in the Pigeon River near Nasby Dam in LaGrange County.

Earl B. Tyson, 79, LaGrange, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

    He was born May 31, 1932, in Peru, Ind.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was contacted on May 11 regarding a burglary.

Floyd W. Douglas, 96, LaGrange, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

    Wilma K. Schrock was stillborn Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

County commissioners gave permission to hold a farmers market on county property Tuesdays and Saturdays. The markets will begin the season soon.

350 South Van Buren Street is the new home for LaGrange County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and it also is the location of an Open House to celebrate its relocation.
