Public Hearing - Shipshewana Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR COMMENTS ON A SELF-EVALUATION AND TRANSITION PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF SHIPSHEWANA, INDIANA PURSUANT TO THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

     BE IT KNOWN THAT at 6:15 p.m. on the 14th day of March 2013, in the Shipshewana Town Hall, located at 345 Morton St., Shipshewana, Indiana 46565, the Town Council of the Town of Shipshewana will hold a public hearing to receive public comments on a draft Self-evaluation and Transition Plan currently being considered by the Town of Shipshewana Town Council and currently on file with the Town Clerk-Treasurer, and whether to adopt the same as the Town’s official policy for purposes of following guidelines for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and relevant related matters. At that public hearing all interested parties will have the opportunity to speak regarding the proposed Self-evaluation and Transition Plan.

     On February 28, 2013, the Town Council of the Town of Shipshewana presented a draft Self-evaluation and Transition Plan for the Town to comply with certain guidelines under the ADA. A copy of the Self-evaluation and Transition Plan is on file with the Town Clerk-Treasurer for review. After receiving public comments for the proposed Self-evaluation and Transition Plan, the Town Council may take further action to adopt the same as official Town policy.
