Notice for Bids - NISWMD

NORTHEAST INDIANA SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT

INVITATION TO BID

     The Northeast Indiana Solid Waste Management District (NISWMD) will receive sealed bids at their Office located at 2320 W. 800S., Ashley, In 46705-0370 until 4:30 p.m. local time Monday, March 25, 2013 for the following public works project located at the same address:

New Equipment Maintenance & Storage Building

     All workmanship and materials are to be in accordance with the Project Bid Manual and construction drawings (bid documents). Bid documents may be obtained at NISWMD’s office during regular business hours or at the office of Project Design & Management, Inc. (PDMi), 3922 New Vision Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46845. A $75.00 deposit made payable to the Northeast Indiana Solid Waste Management District is required with a maximum of one set of bid documents per bidder. In order to obtain a deposit refund, the bidder must return the bid documents in good useable condition to NISWMD’s office or PDMi’s office no later than April 8th, 2013 or the deposit will be forfeited. Common Construction Wage scale provisions apply as required by IC 5-16-7-1, please visit the District web site at www.niswmd.org/publications for results.      Each bid shall include an executed Form No. 96 as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts. In addition, bidders are required to submit with their bid a cashier’s check or bid bond made payable to The Northeast Indiana Solid Waste Management District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of their maximum bid. The bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to The Northeast Indiana Solid Waste Management District, 2320 West, CR 800 South, Ashley, IN 46705-0370. The bid envelope must clearly indicate the name and address of the bidder and the project name. Within ten days of the bid award, a Performance/Payment Bond equal to the contract price and Proof of Insurance will be required.

     The NISWMD will award the bid to the most responsive and responsible bidder, and reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bids received after 4:30 p.m. local time on March 25, 2013 will be returned unopened.
