NOTICE TO BIDDERS
2013 NEW CONSTRUCTION and TRENDINGPROFESSIONAL APPRAISAL SERVICES CONTRACT

NOTICE TO BIDDERS The LaGrange County Assessor and the Board of Commissioners of LaGrange County, Indiana will receive sealed bids for the provision of professional appraisal services with respect to determining the 2013 New Construction Assessment Values and Trending until the hour of 8:30 a.m. EST on, December 28, 2012, at the Office of the LaGrange County Auditor, LaGrange County Office Building, 114 West Michigan Street, LaGrange, Indiana 46761. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened. All bids which have been received by that time will be publicly opened at 8:30 a.m. EST on, December 28, 2012, in the Commissioners’ Room of the LaGrange County Office Building, 114 West Michigan Street, LaGrange, Indiana.

Pursuant to Ind. Code §§ 6-1.1-4 et seq., the LaGrange County Assessor will contract for a Professional Appraiser to act as technical advisor regarding the assessment of new construction values on real property as may be appropriate and the trending of all real property values for the tax year 2013. The Professional Appraiser must be either an individual who is certified under Ind. Code §§ 6-1.1-35-1 as a Level III assessor-appraiser or a firm whose resident supervisor is certified as a Level III assessor-appraiser. More detailed bid requirement information is included in the Bid Specifications for the 2013 Trending and New Construction Specifications, copies which may be examined and obtained on or after 8:00 a.m. EST on December 7, 2012, in the office of The LaGrange County Auditor, LaGrange County Office Building; 114 West Michigan Street, LaGrange, Indiana.

All bids shall be submitted as one original with two copies in a sealedenvelope and marked

"Bid for Professional Services - Annual Update Proposal" and addressed to the Board of Commissioners of LaGrange County, State of Indiana. In addition to price, bids will be evaluated on the basis of quality, workmanship, delivery and suitability for particular purpose. Receipt and consideration of bids are subject to funds being available and approval of governmental agencies having jurisdiction. The Board of Commissioners of LaGrange County reserves the right to cancel this invitation or reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities or irregularities in the bidding, and to rescind the award if a mutually agreed contract is not entered into.
