A free BBQ dinner and Seed to Feed Information Program will be held Thursday, March 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Shipshewana Auction Restaurant, 345 S. Van Buren St.
Seed to Feed is a program of Church Community Services working to bridge the gap between Elkhart County food producers and hungry neighbors by providing fresh produce and local food to the clients of Elkhart County food pantries.
This dinner presentation is open to any farmers who would like to learn how they can be involved in the Seed to Feed program. The program will be explaining how farmers can donate meat from their livestock herd to the food pantry along with how they can donate the profits from one acre of their cash crops to support the Seed to Feed program.
Anyone wishing to attend is asked to RSVP to Katie Jantzen at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (574) 295-3673 ext. 122 by March 22.
