Everyone is cordially invited to attend a LaGrange County Red Cross Call-out Event from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at Shore Mennonite Church in Shipshewana.
Current adult and high school volunteers will be present to provide insights about the programs the Red Cross administers in LaGrange County. There will be tables where disaster relief, fire assistance, blood donations, educational programs, and disaster shelter operations will be highlighted.
At 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., there will be training in Hands-Only CPR. This is a non-certified course that will enable each participant to learn valuable skills and information that could help save a life when someone suffers a heart attack or injury. There are no requirements or pre-registration needed to participate in the training.
The Red Cross hopes those interested will be able to join them to learn about ways to serve as a volunteer, find out when and where training classes will be available in the area, meet and greet neighbors and volunteers, enjoy some refreshments, and maybe win some prizes provided by the American Red Cross.
For more information, contact the LaGrange office of the American Red Cross at 260-463-3552 or e-mail email@example.com.
