PineKnob Parkin Howe will host special activities on Saturday, Sept. 22, in celebration of National Hunting and Fishing Day.
A JA Archery Shoot will be held from 7 a.m. to noon. The competition shoot will follow the 1.7-mile, 26-target 3-D archery course at the park. There is a registration fee.
There will be door prizes and raffles. All proceeds will benefit the Junior Achievement program in LaGrange County.

Game Processing and Taxidermy seminars will begin at 1:30 p.m. What do you do after the hunt? Guidelines for safety and best flavor when processing game will be presented by Extension Educator Ann Fremion.
Special care is also warranted when preparing your harvest for a taxidermy mount. Michaele Klingerman, interpretive naturalist and taxidermist, will offer tips on how to prepare your harvest for the taxidermist.
NWTF JAKES airgun range will be set up from noon to 3 p.m. This special inflatable airgun range from National Wild Turkey Federation will allow young people an opportunity to practice safe gun handling and marksmanship.
An Airsoft Sportsman simulation will be from 2:30-4 p.m. The simulation is hunting scenarios using Airsoft guns to promote safe hunting habits, marksmanship, and wildlife identification with hands-on practice before heading into the field.
