The LaGrange County Indiana Genealogical Society will meet on Tuesday, April 10, in the LaGrange County Public Library Genealogy Room. The board meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The presenter is Bev Palmer, owner of Fun Stuff for Genealogists, Inc. and past president of the South Bend Area Genealogical Society. Palmer will discuss why genealogists should be thinking about using acid free materials, how to store and identify photos, digitizing items and where to shop for these things.
“I am a past president of SBAGS. As a child student, I had no desire to learn history. The love of genealogy started because of a quilt top where I filled in family names,” Palmer stated. “I was upset that family did not have the answers I wanted so you know what happened. I have been doing genealogy well over 20 years. We researched a little in LaGrange County when we discovered some Amish roots.”
