The 7th Annual Curry Bash is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Emma Mennonite Church. Authentic Indian food as well as American food will be served.
The featured speaker will be Stanley Green, executive director of Mennonite Mission Network. Green gives voice to the vision that every congregation and all parts of the church will be engaged in God's mission, reaching across the street and around the world.
Drawing on his experiences growing up in South Africa, Green uses storytelling to capture and inspire audiences. Also, Dr. Subbarao (Doc) Yarlagadda, national agronomist for the Helena Chemical Company, who gave vision to building a clinic in his wife's home village of Chiluvuru, India, will share updates on the ministry of the Menno-Clinic, a medical, dental and eye clinic.
Special music will be provided by Ruthie Saunders of Goshen.
Green, Yarlagadda and Saunders will also be sharing in the 9 a.m. Sunday morning service at Emma Church. An offering will be received for the ministry of the clinic.
The public is invited to both events. Emma Church is located at 1900S 600W in Topeka. For more information call 260-593-2036 or visit the website at www.emmamc. org for directions.
