Council on Aging to host Senior Day at the fair

LaGrangeCounty “wiser” adults age 55 and over are invited to attend the LaGrange County Council on Aging Senior Day at the LaGrange County 4-H Fair Shelter House. Admission from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, is free so come out to the fair and enjoy a fun-filled day.

From 8 to 11:30 a.m., Miller’s Merry Manor will be offering free blood pressure and glucose checks. Parkview LaGrange Hospital will be sponsoring a free continental breakfast, and Life Care Center of LaGrange and Parkview LaGrange Hospital will be conducting free strength and balance tests.

Various information booths will be set up from TRIAD/AARP, Parkview LaGrange Hospital, Miller’s Merry Manor, Life Care Center of LaGrange, LaGrange County Council on Aging/LCAT, and United Fund of LaGrange County.

From 10:30 a.m. to noon, there will be free popcorn tasting conducted by Arrowhead Popcorn LLC, and free bingo called by Whitney Doyle from Life Care Center of LaGrange.

Starting at noon, Miller’s Merry Manor will be sponsoring a free lunch until 2 p.m., along with entertainment by James Bennett, Lester Schrock, and Joe and Kathryn Lehman along with free games. Starting at 2 p.m., free Farm Bureau tours of the 4-H Fair will be given.
