Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Stroh will host an Ice Cream Social and Picnic Supper from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at the church.
The annual summer gathering features ice cream for “build-your-own sundaes.” The supper includes home-cooked, hot beefy-pork sandwiches and homemade picnic salads. A Bake Sale will provide tasty homemade pies and desserts for something special at home or at the lake.
“We are thrilled that our ice cream is again being provided by Happiness Is Ice Cream in Howe,” said Charlette Connelly, planner for the event. “It will be a cool event for a warm summer’s evening!”
The Ice Cream Social is for the greater community of LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties. Prince of Peace especially invites folks from the lakes community near Stroh to join them after the devastating storms of early July for an evening together with neighbors and friends.
Freewill donations from the Ice Cream Social help to support students at Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne who are studying to be Lutheran pastors and who assist Prince of Peace in its ministry.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is located at 10275E 550S, three miles southwest of Stroh, just north of Big Long Lake.
