Northeast Indianacaregivers are invited to a morning of presentations from experienced caregivers offering tips on how to keep themselves healthy.
The workshop will be begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, at the LaGrange County Council on Aging (COA). The COA is located at 125 W. Fenn St. in LaGrange. Registration deadline is May 30.
The workshop is free, thanks to the COA. Lunch will also be provided, courtesy of Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana. Organizational costs are being covered by the Blind and Disabled of Ft. Wayne, and the speakers are donating their time.
The workshop is being held to remind caregivers that the quality of the care they give others depends on the quality of care they give themselves. And, caregivers need some pampering and time for themselves.
Mary Wiemann of Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana will hold a Q&A on “The Family Caregiver Program.” John Homrig of the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss “Personal Experiences of Caring for a Spouse.” Bill Weber of Weber and Associates will cover “Caring for Ourselves as We Care for Others.”
