On Saturday, July 20th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., a benefit barbeque chicken dinner will be held at the Masonic Hall on SR 120 in Orland, Ind.
The dinner benefits the Cindy (Witham) Barrand family to help with medical and funeral expenses. The dinner will be accompanied by an auction, a raffle, and a 50/50 drawing. The auction will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The late Cindy (Witham) Barrand was one of 11 children born to John and Donnabelle Witham Sr. She lived in Orland since 1965 and was a likeable person. She loved her family, especially her grandson.
In September of 2012, Barrand was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was treated with radiation and chemo for 28 weeks. In January of this year, she had surgery to remove a tumor, but 2 lympnos remained active.
She returned home and underwent more chemo, but was again hospitalized in April because she was too weak. She lost the battle to cancer on April 16th.
