The LaGrange De LaFayette Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) celebrated 90 years of service to the community, including area veterans past and present.

At approximately 3 p.m. on October 17, officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department attempted to serve a warrant for non-support at a residence on CR 500E.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on October 17, officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a fight at a residence on CR 200S.

Reverend Cletus E. Hirschy, 95, Bradenton, Fla., died Tuesday, October 15, 2013.

Members of the LaGrange County Plat Committee approved all of the items on the agenda Thursday morning.

Three more LaGrange County veterans were recently honored by the Veterans Headstone Project (VHP) with new or supplemental headstones. These three installations are the final ones for 2013.

LaGrange County Commissioners will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, in the county office building at 114 W. Michigan St. in LaGrange.

Sarah H. Bell, 84, died Monday, October 7, 2013 at Kimball Farms Nursing Center in Lenox, Mass.

    She was born Feb. 20, 1929 to Harry W. and Anna (Wade) Haglind.
