With the 2016-2017 school year starting next week, the Lakeland School Board approved several teacher and staff positions Monday evening.

Brandon Michael Weaver, 21, Shipshewana, died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the scene of an automobile accident on CR 1150W near Stone Lake.

Kendon James Wingard, 6, Shipshewana, died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at IU Health Goshen Hospital from injuries in an accident earlier that day.

Marion R. Kauffman, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2016 after a battle with cancer. He was with his family at his Middlebury home.

The application for the 2017 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship will be available beginning Monday, Aug. 8, at the LaGrange County Community Foundation’s website, www.lccf.net.
