As the Class of 2012 looks forward to graduation later this spring, the three school districts in LaGrange County have named their top students.

On March 27, officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a traffic accident on CR 200S at CR 850W.


Donald Marshall contacted the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department on March 27 to report a burglary.



On March 24, Cadet Jackson Harter, a junior at The Howe School, traveled to Indianapolis to participate in the state speech meet in discussion. 




Roger L. Miller, 61, Big Turkey Lake, LaGrange, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Northridge ran away from Lakeland, 117-15 in girls track Tuesday.



Concord and Mishawaka Marian each dealt the Lakeland varsity baseball team a setback this week.


Kayla Yoder, Hannah Witham and Rachel Johns all had three RBI in sparking Westview to a 16-0 rout of Elkhart Christian Monday night in Emma.


Northridge and Jimtown each shaded Westview in boys track decisions this past Monday night.


The Westview girls track team defeated Jimtown (74-60) and Concord (74-56), and lost to Northridge (83-46) in meets held earlier this week.


Ashlynn Grubb fired a no-hitter with a school-record 19 strikeouts as Lakeland opened its 2012 softball campaign Monday evening with an 8-0 romp over visiting Wawasee.


The Westview “Red Eyed Vieros” team took second place at a recent envirothon contest held in Columbia City, Ind.


LaGrangeCounty schools sent their best and brightest to the Regional Science Fair on March 17 at Trine University, with many of them returning with special awards.
