Melvin Lee Mullett, 75, Topeka, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at his residence.  

 

Max Sherck, 82, Middlebury, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at Courtyard Healthcare of Goshen. 

 

Patricia C. Stiles, 82, LaGrange, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

 

Mary Louise Miller, 77, Wakarusa, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Greencroft Healthcare.

 

 

 

The LaGrange County Council on Aging (COA) received a $500 donation from the Meridian Sun Lodge to help with the Aging in Place Ramp Project.

 

The Town of Wolcottville is looking to rebid its trash pickup services this year. The current contract with Borden Waste Away of Elkhart expires on Sept. 30.

Officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were called on April 6 regarding a home invasion at a residence on Wall Lake.

 

On April 9, a deputy from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department made a traffic stop on a Dodge pickup at SR 9 and SR 120.

 

On April 5 a neighbor called the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department to report they noticed a window broken at a residence on CR 895E.

 

 

On April 7 officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department went to a residence on SR 9 in Howe regarding an investigation involving a juvenile.

 

State education officials are revamping the report card that districts must publish to make it easier for parents and others to evaluate local schools.
