The LaGrange Town Council is considering annexation of outlying areas of the Town. An informational meeting is planned for Tuesday, February 17 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall.

Parks Superintendent Mike Metz was granted permission to upgrade the security systems on four county parks facilities at a Monday meeting of county commissioners.

Tom Marks officially resigned as director of the LaGrange County Building Department at Monday’s county commissioners meeting. The resignation will be effective March 31.

LaGrange County Commissioners appointed three people to county boards at Monday morning’s meeting.

Prairie Heights climbed to 5-2 in the NECC boys basketball standings with victories this past weekend over Fremont and Angola.

Eastside scored the last eight points to rescue 57-49 victory over Westview in NECC boys basketball action last Friday night in Emma.

Justin McCoy drilled 29 points in sparking Garrett to an 84-53 NECC boys basketball victory over the visiting Lakeland Lakers last Friday evening.

Big efforts in the first and third quarters helped lift Wawasee past Lakeland, 62-40 in varsity boys basketball Saturday night in LaGrange.


Westview clinched its second straight NECC girls basketball regular-season championship Saturday night in Butler with a 57-44 triumph over Eastside.

Garrett trimmed Lakeland, 59-34 in NECC girls basketball last Friday night.
