Shortly after 8 p.m. on December 13, officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence on Meadow Lane in Topeka regarding a domestic dispute.

Major Wayne E. Myers, retired, of Sturgis, Michigan, passed on December 8, 2015 while under the care of William Beaumont Hospice in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Emma E. Miller, 68, LaGrange, died Monday, December 14, 2015 at the scene of an auto accident at 9905W 500S in Millersburg.

Central Noble traveled to Westview last Friday night with an unblemished record in the NECC girls basketball standings.

NorthWood invaded Emma last Thursday night and took home a 70-45 varsity boys basketball victory over the host Westview Warriors.

A torrid start to the second quarter propelled Eastside to a 58-37 NECC girls basketball victory over host Prairie Heights last Friday night.

Jalisa Schwartz tossed in 16 points to lead Fairfield past Lakeland, 54-32 in NECC girls basketball play last Friday evening in LaGrange.

After coming close a couple of times, the Lakeland boys basketball team finally posted its initial victory of the 2015-16 campaign Saturday night in LaGrange.
