Virginia Lorraine Miller, 91, formerly of Ligonier, Ind., died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Waterford Crossing in Goshen.

Wesley Sherman "Wes" Hicks, 18, Wawaka, Ind., died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in the emergency room at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, Ind.

    Margaret “Peggy” Prough Poore, 69, Lee's Summit, Mo., formerly of LaGrange County, died September 17, 2015 at her residence.

Nedra M. Scheetz, 82, Sturgis, Mich., died Friday, March 18, 2016 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, Mich.

    Joel Thomas Kooistra, 25, Wabash, Ind., died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Parkview Wabash Hospital.

Daniel T. Keil, 64, LaGrange, died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Westview High School economics teacher Jeanne Andersen recently received the Dr. John Manzer Award from Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana (JA).
