Several legislative initiatives authored by State Sen. Sue Glick (R-LaGrange) that support Hoosier veterans were signed into law today by Gov. Mike Pence. These include:

Essie Creech, 81, Stroh, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Lutheran Life Village in Kendallville, Ind.

Vernon Riegsecker, 96, Goshen, formerly of Middlebury, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Maples at Waterford Crossing in Goshen, Ind.

At approximately 9 p.m. on March 21, officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 4000W block of CR 700N regarding a trespasser.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on March 22, the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding an erratic driver on SR 120 in the vicinity of CR 300W.

Howard V. “Howie” Meyer, 86, Angola, Ind., died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his residence.

Carson Dean Shirk, 62, Atwood Lake in Wolcottville, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his residence.

Susie LuElla Yoder, 75, Topeka, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at her residence.

David Wayne Smith, 52, LaGrange, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his residence.

    He was born July 15, 1963, in Chicago, Ill., to Aubrey and Linda (Roebke) Smith.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on March 19, a deputy from the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department stopped a passenger car at US 20 and Townline Road in LaGrange for a traffic violation.

Elwyn J. Frain, 75, Shipshewana, died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
