Mary Edna Helmuth, 64, Goshen, Ind., died Monday, February 24, 2014 at her residence.

A fast start and a strong finish allowed Prairie Heights to put away county rival Lakeland, 59-47 in NECC boys basketball action Saturday night in Brushy Prairie.

For the past decade, Fort Wayne Canterbury thoroughly dominated 1A girls basketball, winning five of the last six state championships in that class.
