The Lakeland and Prairie Heights softball squads braved the cold and wind Tuesday afternoon in a hotly contested battle for their NECC opener.

 

The Prairie Heights girls track squad nipped visiting Lakeland, 63-61, and lost to the Angola squad, 95-32. Angola’s girls also topped Lakeland, 99-33.

 

The Lakeland boys track squad defeated both the host Prairie Heights squad and Angola teams in a three-way track meet Tuesday afternoon.
