Wynoma Howe

Wynoma P. Howe, 90, Angola, Ind., died Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Angola.

    She was born March 8, 1923, in LaGrange, to Johnnie B. and Pauline A. (Notestine) Faust.

    She was a homemaker and member of Plato United Methodist Church, where she served as a youth leader. She was a founding member and past president of the Plato Extension Homemakers Club, a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Red Hats.

    She was married August 9, 1941, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., to Robert W. Howe. He survives.

    Also surviving are two sons, John Howe, Angola, Ind., and Tom (Pat) Howe, LaGrange; one daughter, Linda (Bill) Parks, Angola, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Bruce) Van Wagner, LaGrange, and Kathleen Faust, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren, Jodi (Todd) Clouse, Angola, Ind., Brian Howe, Angola, Ind., Shelly (Steve) Pittman, Indianapolis, Ind., Todd (Teresa Wright) Howe, Portage, and Julie (Ty) Deveau, Wolcottville; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Judy Howe, one son, James Howe, one brother, Daniel B. Faust, and one sister, Donna Ainslie.

    Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday, February 3, at Plato United Methodist Church.

    Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, at Plato United Methodist Church with Reverend Carldean Merrifield officiating.

    Burial will be in East Springfield Cemetery, LaGrange County.

    Memorials may be directed to Plato United Methodist Church or donor’s choice.
