Woodlan boys nip Panthers

Woodlan rallied to stun Prairie Heights, 52-49 in varsity boys basketball action Tuesday night in Brushy Prairie.

Trailing 42-31 entering the fourth period, the Warriors put together a 21-7 surge to catch and pass the Panthers to claim their eighth victory of the season.

Kadin Gerig topped the Woodlan scoresheet with 15 points. Caleb Steglitz added 11.

Three Prairie Heights players landed in double figures, led by Jacob Heller with 13 points. Zach Shepard had 11 and Kyler West 10.

Heller also snagged 12 rebounds for the Panthers, now 8-4 on the campaign. West dished out five assists.
