Woman bitten by pit bull


Vicki Wicker came into the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department on March 15 to report that she had been bitten by a pit bull.

According to the police report, Wicker stated that around 7 p.m. on March 13 she was walking on CR 195N from her residence to her parents’ residence. While walking down the road, she passed by a pit bull that was tied up on private property. When Wicker came into the dog’s sight, it became very aggressive, barking, popping its jaws, and lunging at the end of its cable. The animal managed to break its cable, crossed the road and attacked Wicker, biting her upper left arm area. Wicker escaped from the dog’s grasp and managed to make it to her parents’ residence.

This case is under investigation and the dog’s owner has been contacted regarding this incident.
