Deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were called to a residence on CR 1080W near Shipshewana on a report of illegal activity Nov. 28.
Deputies arrived and made contact with Amy Bohinc, 31, of CR 1080W. Deputies reportedly found a container in plain view which contained what they believed to be marijuana. According to the police report, deputies continued to search the residence with the consent of the homeowner until it became necessary for deputies to apply for a search warrant.
After a search warrant was granted by the LaGrange County Superior Court, officers reportedly found paraphernalia associated with the use of marijuana and methamphetamine in the home and garage.
Deputies reportedly found a small amount of a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Bohinc was taken to the LaGrange County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Bond was set at $10,000.
