Wolcottville Police nab man on warrant and additional charges

Officers from the Wolcottville Police Department were dispatched to a house on Morel Street shortly after 2 p.m. Monday after a report of an alleged fight in progress involving a knife.

Wolcottville officers responding were informed that a male suspect had left the area on foot. They found a man near James and Main streets that fitted the description of the suspect.

Officers stopped the suspect and identified him as Bradley W. Amburgey, 21. After investigation, it was discovered that Amburgey was wanted out of LaGrange County for multiple felony warrants.

Amburgey reportedly forcibly resist officers when they made contact with him. Officers arrested Amburgey and transported him to the Noble County Jail on preliminary charges of Misdemeanor Battery, Misdemeanor Resisting Law Enforcement, Felony Initiation, and Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct.

Assisting were officers from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department and the Rome City Marshal’s Office
