A Wolcottville volunteer firefighter died Saturday morning after he became trapped under a semi he was reportedly working on.
According to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department, emergency personnel were called to 7200S 075W in Wolcottville for a male trapped underneath a semi.
Prior to officers and emergency personnel arriving, the caller was able to jack up the semi and remove Terry “Chopper” Keck, 56, from underneath the semi. The caller initiated CPR, the report noted, until emergency personnel arrived.
Keck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department and the LaGrange County Coroner’s Office.
