Wilma L. Ellis, 80, LaGrange, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
She was born June 24, 1931, in Noble County, Ind., to Chester D. and Nellie L. (Harding) Wurtsbaugh.
Living all her life in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and worked at Paramount in Sturgis, Mich., for 22 years and Argos Wire Plant in Argos, Ind., for five years. She was a volunteer at LaGrange County Clothes and Food Basket for five years and she organized the Sharing Doll Club in 1990.
She was married March 27, 1982, in Lynn, Ind., to John V. Ellis. He survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Robecka L. Blaylock, St. Augustine, Fla.; one son, Dale D. Maples Sr., South Carolina; one stepdaughter, Valerie Cassity, Goshen; one stepson, Richard E. Ellis, Traverse City, Mich.; two grandchildren, Dale D. Maples Jr. and Cecilia Cassity; one great-grandchild, Skyler Maples; four nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Aleatha Harrison, and one brother, Chester David Wurtsbaugh.
Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Steve Burkey officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
