William T. O’Dell, 90, LaGrange, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his residence.
He was born December 13, 1923, in Kendallville, Ind., to William Oscar and Cecile (Bloomfield) O’Dell.
Moving with his wife to LaGrange in 1960, he worked in the mobile home industry. He and his wife also operated the former Sunset Motel in LaGrange from 1976-1989. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sturgis, Mich.
He was married July 31, 1948, in Defiance, Ohio, to Kathleen Hall. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William L. (Patty) O’Dell, Sturgis, Mich., and Thomas L. (Pam) O’Dell, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Peggy L. Iddings, Wolcottville, and Kelly S. (Newell) Franks, Sturgis, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn Slater, Kendallville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 23, at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange with Bishop Brett Wierschke officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
