Westview upends Central Noble in girls soccer

Riley Hochstetler’s hat trick spurred the Westview varsity girls soccer squad to a 7-2 victory over NECC foe Central Noble Tuesday evening in Albion.

Hochstetler netted two of her three markers in the first half, helping the Lady Warriors build a 4-1 lead. Her third tally came 11 minutes into the second half.

Steph Mowery knocked in the first two Westview goals of the match, answering an early score by Central Noble’s Tiffany Simcox. Hochstetler assisted on one of Mowery’s goals and Tessa Zimmerly set up the other.

In addition to her two goals, Mowery earned assists on the first two Hochstetler tallies and on a Taryn Pruitt marker. Erika Gamble put in the last Westview score with an assist from Tori Oesch.

The win boosted the Lady Warrior season record to 5-1.
