Westview softballers drop two


Area softball powerhouses Lakewood Park and Fairfield each dealt Westview stern losses earlier this week.

Mikeila Boroff fired a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and Jaclyn Delagrange cracked a home run and a double in leading Lakewood Park to a 10-0 romp over the Lady Warriors Monday in Auburn. Courtney Sliger and Kelsey Kruse also had two hits for the No. 2 (in Class 1A) Lady Panthers, while Jamie Budreau knocked in three runs.

Fairfield, rated No. 7 in Class 3A, rolled past Westview, 14-2 in NECC action Tuesday in Emma. Morgan Miller went 4-4 at the plate with a home run and five RBI to lead the 13-hit Lady Falcon attack.

Kaela Miller delivered four hits and three runs to the Fairfield ledger. Riley Troyer socked a two-run double.

Amber Roth, Michelle Mowery, Kayla Yoder and Kaylene Kaufman all had a hit for Westview.
