Lindon McDonald won three events as Westview topped Fairfield, 62.5-46.5 in middle school boys track last Thursday.
McDonald won the high jump with a school-record leap of 6-0. He also took firsts in the 100- and 400-meter dashes.
Brock Miller produced wins in the 110-meter hurdles and 800-meter run for the 3-0 Warriors. Davis Stutzman won the 1600 meters and Lincoln McDonald the pole vault.
School-record performances by Kloee Fitch and Riley Hochstetler sparked the Westview Jr. High girls track team to a 66-42 triumph over Fairfield.
Fitch’s toss of 91-7 feet set a new discus standard for the Lady Warriors. She also won the shot put.
Hochstetler shattered the Westview mark in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.84 seconds. Hochstetler teamed up with Grace Hales, Tori Wisler and Jennifer Hochstetler to win the 1600-meter relay; and combined with Taryn Pruitt, Jeannie Bontrager and Makayla Yoder to take first in the 400-meter relay.
Hales won the 400 meters and high jump, Pruitt the long jump, Erika Gamble the pole vault and Chloe Lovell the 800 meters.
