Westview goes 1-2 at boys soccer Invitational

Westview went 1-2 in the Carroll Invitational boys soccer tournament played this past weekend.

The Warriors lost at Northridge, 2-0 in the first round of the tourney last Thursday night. Hunter Hardin and Elliot Laughlin netted the Raider goals. Westview keeper Tarrin Beachy made three saves.

Two goals by Bucky Carpenter led the Warriors to a 2-1 triumph over Fort Wayne Snider in their first match Saturday at Carroll. Lindon McDonald assisted on Carpenter’s initial tally, while Jacob Berkey got a helper on his second goal. Beachy was again credited with three saves.

Warsaw tallied three times in the second half to best Westview, 4-1 in the final round Saturday afternoon. Carpenter put in the lone Westview goal with an assist from Logan Good. Beachy stopped five Tiger attempts.

Westview stands 4-3-1 on the season.
