Westview Girls upend Fremont

Westview dealt Fremont its first NECC girls basketball loss last Thursday night in Emma, 48-39.

Skyler Carpenter tossed in 15 points, grabbed five rebounds and passed out four assists for the Lady Warriors, who led at the three quarter stops by scores of 16-11, 25-19 and 33-26. Brooke Schwartz collected a career-high 11 markers to go with seven rebounds and a blocked shot.

Amber Roth garnered nine points, five boards and three assists for Westview, which improved to 2-3 in the NECC and to 4-7 overall with the victory. Jeslyn Zimmerly contributed six steals.

Liz Carlson’s 12 points topped Fremont, which tumbled to 4-1 in the NECC and to 7-2 overall with the setback.
