Westview got a pair of goals from Michelle Mowery in a 3-1 girls soccer victory over visiting Argos last Friday night.
Mowery’s first goal came with 12:16 left before halftime and upped the Lady Warrior lead to 2-0. Riley Hochstetler, who scored the initial Westview tally eight minutes into the match, assisted on the Mowery boot.
Argos cut the difference in half on a goal by Shelby Sanders six minutes into the second period. But Mowery restored Westview to a two-goal margin six minutes later with a goal set up by an assist from Stephenie Mowery.
Lady Warrior keeper Stephenie Hochstetler recorded five saves in the win. Karlee Vanderweele made five stops for Argos.
The win improved Westview to 2-0 in NISC play.
Saturday night in Goshen, the Lady Warriors blanked Bethany Christian by a count of 4-0.
Tori Oesch, Tessa Zimmerly, Riley Hochstetler and Michelle Mowery each scored a goal for Westview, with all of the markers coming in the opening half. Earning assists on the tallies were Michelle Mowery, Stephenie Mowery and Zimmerly.
Bethany keeper Natalie Thorne was credited with 17 saves.
Westview stands 11-3-1 overall.
