Westview girls soccer coasts over Elkhart Memorial

Riley Hochstetler scored a pair of goals to help lift the Westview varsity girls soccer team past Elkhart Memorial, 3-0 Tuesday night in Emma.

Both of Hochstetler’s tallies came in a four-minute span of the first half. Tessa Zimmerly set up Hochstetler on her first goal, which took place in the 14th minute of play. Amiah May then assisted Hochstetler on her second marker, which occurred in the 18th minute.

Late in the second half, Sidney Byrkett booted home an unassisted goal to close out the scoring.

Lady Warrior keeper Grace St. Clair stopped all nine Memorial shots on net. Lady Charger goalie Kennedy Knowlton made a dozen saves.

The win improved Westview to 2-0.
