Westview Girls overwhelm Central Noble

The Westview varsity girls basketball team overwhelmed Central Noble, 70-24 in NECC play last Friday night in Emma.

A 19-4 burst to start the game put the Lady Warriors on the path to their third victory of the campaign. Leading 33-11 at halftime, Westview stretched its advantage to 42 points (57-15) with a 24-4 run in the third quarter.

All 10 Lady Warriors got into the scoring act, with Skyler Carpenter’s 21 points leading the way. Brooke Yoder was next with 11 and Jeslyn Zimmerly added 10.

Carpenter also pulled down nine rebounds, made five steals and dished four assists. Zimmerly tacked on four steals and three boards to her ledger, while Amber Roth dealt out four helpers.

Heather Combs topped Central Noble with nine points.
