Westview girls drub Fremont

 

Westview had little trouble dispatching host Fremont, 65-23 in NECC girls basketball action last Thursday evening.

The Lady Warriors forged a 17-6 lead after one period and methodically built the margin up to 20 (35-15) by halftime and to 30 (51-21) entering the final stanza.

Three Westview players scored in double figures, led by Maria McCoy with 18 points. Brooke Yoder tossed in 14 markers and Grace Hales netted 10.

Hales also produced seven rebounds and five assists for the Lady Warriors, who improved to 4-1 in league play and to 6-5 overall with the win. Olivia Miller snagged seven boards and Amber Roth made five steals.

Shea Rhonehouse paced Fremont with eight points.
