Westview girls drub Central Noble

Westview ran its NECC girls basketball record to 3-0 last Friday night in Emma with a 66-43 dismantling of Central Noble.

Coach Randy Yoder’s Lady Warriors jumped out to a 16-8 lead after one quarter and held a 30-22 advantage at halftime. Westview then out pointed the visitors, 36-21 in the second half to salt away its seventh overall victory.

Grace Hales tallied 17 points, blocked eight shots and made four steals to lead the Lady Warrior attack. Sidney Byrkett tossed in 13 points to go with her team-high five assists. Maria McCoy collected 12 points and seven rebounds.

Tiffany Simcox topped the Lady Cougar scoresheet with nine points. Coming in with eight markers apiece were Kennedy Forker and Mikayla Stringfellow.
