The Westview varsity girls basketball team picked up a big NECC victory over arch-rival Fairfield, 51-41 last Friday night in Emma.
Leading by a slim, 35-34 margin heading into the fourth period, coach Randy Yoder’s Lady Warriors put together a 16-7 run to salt away their seventh league win in eight decisions.
Grace Hales tallied 14 points and Brooke Yoder netted 13 to lead the Westview offense. Yoder gained nine of her markers on a trio of three-points shots, while Hales connected on a pair of long bombs.
Kristen Duff and Maria McCoy led the Lady Warriors on the glass with nine rebounds apiece. Amber Roth dished out seven assists.
Jenna Keiper topped the Fairfield scoresheet with 18 points.
