Westview took second place in a varsity baseball tournament played Saturday at Culver Academy.
In the first game, the Warriors scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat NorthWood, 5-4. Jamar Weaver, who led off the seventh with a triple, scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jake Berkey.
Judah Zickafoose then bashed his own three-bagger and tallied a big insurance run for Westview on a double by Kohle Christner.
NorthWood got one of the runs back in its half of the seventh on an RBI single by Farmwald. But Zickafoose induced Panther designated hitter Kirkwood to ground to third base for the final out.
Both Christner and Tarrin Beachy collected three hits for the Warriors.
Westview faced Valparaiso in the championship game. The Warriors tied the score at 7-all in the top of the seventh on an RBI single by Christner. But in the bottom of the frame, two walks, a hit batsman and a single by Gear gave the Vikings an 8-7 victory.
Zickafoose, who scored the tying run, Kohle Christner, Hunter Christner and Damon Miller all had two hits for Westview in the title tilt. Weaver ripped a double.
The Warriors stand 14-5 on the season.
