Westview won, lost and tied a match in the Carroll Classic boys soccer tournament held this past weekend.
The Warriors battled Homestead to a 2-2 draw Friday night at Carroll. Bucky Carpenter and Jaron Lewton each put in a goal for Westview. Jake Berkey garnered an assist on both tallies, while Lucas Hunter also earned a helper on Carpenter’s boot.
Blackhawk Christian blanked Westview, 2-0 in the second round Saturday morning. The Warriors bounced back to whip Fort Wayne Snider, 5-1 later in the day.
Berkey collected three goals and an assist in the win over Snider. Carpenter had two markers, Hunter two assists and both Nate Raber and Austin Borg one assist.
Warrior keeper Tarrin Beachy played 120 minutes, making a total of 13 saves.
Westview now stands 5-2-1 on the season.
