Westview boys victorious over West Noble

 

 

Westview advanced to the finals of the NECC boys basketball tournament with a 59-50 victory over previously undefeated West Noble last Friday night in Ligonier.

The Warriors took a slim, 38-34 lead into the fourth quarter. A big three-point hoop by Brett Yoder and a 9-10 effort from the foul line by Jordyn Bontrager in the final frame helped seal the Westview win.

Bontrager finished atop the Westview scoring column with 19 points. Nic Raber totaled 16 and Chandler Aspy sank 11.

Drew Schermerhorn canned 19 markers and Keith Gibson chipped in 12 for the 10-1 Chargers.
