The Westview boys tennis team earned its first two wins of the 2012 campaign late last week at the expense of NECC rivals Lakeland and Churubusco.
Andrew Yoder’s three-set win over Dalton Schmidt at No. 2 singles sealed a 4-1 Warrior triumph over the host Lakers Thursday evening. Also winning singles matches for Westview were Kohle Christner and Hunter Christner, while Taylor Eash and Zach Schrock teamed up for a doubles victory.
Blake Balka and Robbie Arend secured the Lakeland point with a win at No. 1 doubles.
Westview scored an identical, 4-1 triumph over visiting Churubusco Friday afternoon. Both Christners and Yoder again won in singles, while Eash and Schrock continued their winning ways in doubles.
The Warriors now sport a 2-5 overall record.
