Westiew boys destroy Churubusco

 

Kyle Miller and Chandler Aspy each scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in leading the Westview varsity boys basketball team to an 87-26 destruction of NECC foe Churubusco last Friday night in Turtle Town.

Miller netted nine of his markers in the first period, helping the Warriors build a 24-3 cushion. Aspy produced 11 points in the second period, triggering a 27-9 Westview run in the second stanza which lifted the visitors to a 51-12 halftime edge.

Jordyn Bontrager collected a team-high five assists to go with his nine points for the 3-0 Warriors.

Blake Gross topped Churubusco with nine points.
