West Noble edges Lakeland in girls soccer


Kim Pizana scored a goal in overtime  to lift West Noble over Lakeland, 3-2 in varsity girls soccer this past Monday.

Ana Hererra, who assisted on Pizana’s decisive tally, netted the first West Noble goal in the opening half. Karla Carillo garnered an assist on the play. Lakeland would score later in the half to knot the count at 1-all.

Beni Murillo put West Noble back out in front, 2-1 with an unassisted goal in the second half. But before regulation time expired, the Lady Lakers booted home the equalizing marker.

Lady Charger keeper Carolina Guzman racked up 20 saves in the win.
