Wawasee built a big halftime lead and cruised to a 55-33 varsity girls basketball win at Prairie Heights Saturday afternoon.
KiLee Knafel canned 16 of her game-high 30 points in the opening two periods, helping stake the Lady Warriors to a 32-11 advantage. Knafel currently leads the state in scoring average with a 31.4 per game clip.
Shawna Carbone tallied 11 points and snagged 10 rebounds for the Lady Panthers, who fell to 3-2 with the loss. Rebekah Frey garnered eight points and eight rebounds.
