Warrior Boys Trounce East Noble

Senior leaders Brant Yoder and Adrian Brandenberger sparked Westview to a 51-37 varsity boys basketball victory over East Noble Tuesday evening in Emma.

Yoder poured in 20 points to pace the 6-1 Warriors. His seven field goals, including two from three-point distance, through three quarters helped Westview build a 27-20 advantage.

East Noble cut the margin to five midway through the final frame (34-29). But the Warriors, fueled by a perfect, 8-8 effort from the foul stripe by Brandenberger, closed the game on a 17-8 run.

Both Brandenberger and Jordyn Bontrager, who was 5-6 from the charity stripe during the final minutes, ended the game with 10 points to back up Yoder on the Warrior scoring list. Brandenberger grabbed seven of the 17 Westview rebounds.

T.J. Blair knocked down 22 points to lead East Noble (2-4). Blair netted 13 of his markers in the fourth quarter.
